A Grade 2 sympathetic refurbishment project.
Image Creation were engaged by a school for children with behavioural difficulties to develop a derelict Grade 2 space into a stand-alone, teachers’ flat along with a separate conference facility.
From careful strip out, sticking to the conservation officers requests to fire stopping with our BMTRADA team, flooring and nosings, plumbing, electrical, data and fire to the decoration; we have turned a disused awkward space into an excellent functional area. Adding value to the school’s property portfolio, as well as providing excellent teaching and living conditions, all on a tight budget.
Delivered on time with additional requests from the client, it has strengthened an existing working relationship where Image Creation feel part of a larger site team.
It is definitely a nice project to reward such hard-working teachers in difficult times with a great space to teach.
