A project Image Creation was appointed for by an existing valued client and a fantastic school.
The school had not had any new building for 50 years and the budget was very tight to achieve a high specification new Art Block.
However again having all the disciplines in house we started the project at the end of February breaking ground and completed mid August and also fitted out the new build also within this timescale.
Foundations and attenuation were completed while our workshop was busy manufacturing SIP panels.
The work was also initially carried out by our DBS certified team during school hours with all the large plant works completed at Easter and over weekends.
As an employee owner trust all our staff are incentivised to deliver as they are all shareholders which makes delivery in tight timescales with difficult access arrangements a lot easier to manage.
By the end of Easter we had install the attenuation, delivered and fitted all the SIPS panels, run all the primary supplies through the main building, and scaffolded out the structure.
New windows, automated sliding doors, BMTRADA fire doors, heat recovery, Led lighting, controls , power and data were installed to provide 2 fantastic 80 sq m art classrooms, a fully kitted tech room and a fabulous 150 sq m exhibition space along with dda toilet, and male and female toilet block and plant room.
Acoustic ecophon ceiling panels along with luxury vinyl tiles throughout with a great decoration finish from our team have completed the aesthetic appearance to the complete satisfaction of the head teacher.
An external colour coded render to match the school branding has now placed this new build as a focal point within the site.
The successful completion also led to a fit out of all the classrooms using solid surface laminate and also the construction of a new canopy with branding at the school entrance.
Our team has enjoyed working with people who clearly care about their work and it has been nice to be part of that process.
